Crazy busy…

So yeah, I have been so busy that I have not really had time to update.  So here is a quick one.

Last  weekend, Becca and I took off to my parent’s house up north.  We left on Friday morning and arrived late Friday afternoon after a few stops on the way.  Saturday we went out searching for a ghost town that existed in the late 1880s called Shell City.  The location that it once sat upon is about a 30 minute drive from my parent’s house.  Unfortunately there was too much snow on the ground to be able to see much.  There are supposed to be wagon tracks and buttons that were made from clams from the nearby river.

Saturday evening, we went out for my sister’s birthday.  We went to the old “Chateau Paulette”, which is now the “Chateau Zorba’s”.  It is much better now than when it was Paullette.

Sunday was Easter lunch; Ham, potatoes, various salads, etc.  Most of it was good.  There were still a few onions though and that was really my only complaint.

We got back home Sunday evening.  It was a nice vacation, but it was too short.

Yesterday at work was very hectic.  I have a little more than +4 flex hours  that I should spend.  Maybe I’ll take Friday afternoon off.  Well, that is if the application is working and will let me.

My mom just found out that her position may be cut next year.  The school’s superintendent put forth a motion to remove it and if the various voters agree, she will no longer be the librarian (media specialist) that she has concentrated on for the last few years with a masters degree and such.  It doesn’t sound as though she would lose her job, but she would go back to being a social studies teach I imagine.
