So, I just sit down to eat some steak that Johnny brought over and my doorbell rings. Technically, it wasn’t during dinner because it was after 7, so even though I was a little annoyed, I answered it anyway.
This dude from APX Security was here and he asked if I was interested in becoming a neghborhood model. I laughed and said that I didn’t think anyone wanted to see me in a speedo, but I would listen to him anyway.
It turns out that they would wave the equipment and installation fees if I wanted to have them install a security system in my house. I asked about any recurring fees and he said that I would just have to pay for the monthly service. That works out to be $30 a month, but I should get a discount on my home insurance too.
Basically I ended up getting a $1500 security system for free, minus the monthly service charges. It’s pretty cool! Oh yeah, and it’s wirless, so it was quick and un-invasive to install.
So do you still get to wear the speedo or not?
Nah, sorry Biggie. You still don’t get to see me in a Speedo.
The question becomes – will the savings on your insurance equal or be close to equalling the monthly fee?
