It has been a while since I mentioned what has been going on in my life, so here is a good catch up post.
Last weekend my hockey team won. We played against the team that is the only one that beat us. We schooled them 8 to 4. It was a great feeling. We will finally be getting our jerseys this weekend.
Yesterday I went to a meeting with my mortgage brokers. I had to sign the last bits of paperwork before the big closing day. It appears that Jeremy and I miscalculated the closing costs, which we rolled into the mortgage, and I might have to actually have some money with me. That is very unfortunate, not only because we expected to have a couple thousand leftover from closing for a hot tub, or some furnishings, but now I might have to have a couple thousand, which I don’t have yet. I don’t know yet where it will come from, but God is good. Closing day is 9AM on March 15.
Last night I went to Ash Wednesday service at Eaglebrook. It was a different experience than what I was expecting. I have never followed the tradition, I didn’t even know what it was in fact. Eaglebrook is somewhat Baptist based, Ash Wednesday is more of a Catholic tradition, but there are quite a few people with Catholic upbringing at EBC. So, we ended up doing some introspection, worship, communion, and for those that wanted to get the cross of ashes marked on their forehead, they could.
Well, it is about lunch time for me now. I am going to Zantigo’s with some co-workers. UNT
Yeah, I was about to say that a hot tub is not such a great idea in the first place, but then I remembered that you are single, so a hot tub is actually a really good idea, so.. yeah, I hope you can work the finances out.
I’m gonna pray like the hardest that God will work your sitch out. I don’t know about the hot tub–with you in it, the whole place will be too hot. 🙂 But I know God is good, and who knows, that might be your surprise for that day. Peace out.
