I am really sensing a pattern in the last few days of Bible. I hope that whoever needs to know this truth is reading it.
Romans 4:6-8
[i]
just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
“ Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
And whose sins are covered;
Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin.â€

King David was guilty of some horrible sins. He was an adulter, a murderer, he lied. Notice how I said he “was” guilty. He experienced the true joy of forgiveness. We too can have this joy when we quit denying our guilt, admit our guilt to God and ask for forgiveness, and finally, believe that God has forgiven us so that we can let go of that guilt.
If a sin has been going on for many years or if it involves more than just yourself, this can be hard. Just remember that Jesus said that he will forgive every sin. No sin is too large, in fact they are all the same in his eyes; well, maybe not exactly equal, but sin is sin.
It is arrogant to think that the price paid on the cross is not great enough to cover any of our sins. Sometimes our faith is weak, the memory haunts us, or we are very sensitive to certain stimuli; God’s word (1 John 1:9) declares that sins confessed are sins forgiven!
