I was reading about Jesus feeding the 5000 in John 6. Jesus was followed by a crowd of people and it was getting near to the passover feast.
When the disciples saw all the people, Jesus asked Philip how they would feed them all. Philip said it would take more than 8 months of wages to give them even a single bite. Then, when the little boy with 5 loaves and 2 fish gave Jesus everything he had, everyone was able to eat.
Two things can be seen in this passage. The first being that financial means is not the only way to accomplish things. We tend to limit what God can do with us by assuming what is possible and what is not possible.
The second is that when you give God everything you have, when you completely surrender, he can and does miracles.
