I have been playing around with my site today because I was accepted into the Google Adsense program. If you look closely (okay, so maybe not that closely), you will notice three distinct Google related sections.
The first one is the search bar. Anytime someone does a search from my site, and clicks through to a result, Google somehow determines how much it is worth and gives me a small percentage… From now on, I will be doing all of my google searching from my site.
The second is the little “Ad Bar” on the right side, under the Archives, and another one at the bottom. This shows two ads that Google tries to make related to content on my site.
The last section is right below the “Ad Bar”. There are two referral buttons. Anytime someone wants to install the Firefox browser and clicks through to download it from the button on my site, I will get a small donation. Likewise with the Adsense button.
I don’t know what this will do. I don’t know if I even get enough visits to make it worthwhile, but I thought I would give it a shot and see.
