The guy that murdered Dustin was given 36 years. He has already served 5 years, so he is down to 31. If he has good behavior, he could be out in 19. We don’t expect that to happen because he has spent over a year of the last 5 in solitary confinement due to performance issues.
I feel pretty good about it. That was one of the hardest times that I have been through and it feels like that door is finally closed.
I’m glad to hear that it’s done, and that he will remain in jail. 35 years is a long time.
Maybe the family will be able to begin healing too.
