Saturday was hockey night. After church a bunch of us went to Jen and Shauna’s place. Jason, Shauna, Solly, and I stayed until about 9:45. We then went to the hockey rink. Shauna and Solly sat in the stands and watched while Jason proceeded to get a total of 4 goals against me. I think I played pretty well, I feel like there were really only 2 or 3 goals that I “absolutely should have had and I was mad at myself for making the mistake that allowed the goal”. My team was down one player and nobody played defense at all. We lost 14 to 13. It was a wierd feeling going from last time playing and getting a shutout and my team winning 5 to 1, to having a score more like a football game…
Sunday was spent at “The Chronicles of Narnia” with pretty much the same group that went to Jen and Shauna’s the night before. It was an excellent movie except that the music choice was wierd. I mean, why would the director choose to have Alanis Morrisette do a song for a Christian themed movie? None of us could figure that one out.
After the movie we all went skating in downtown St Paul. It was pretty good. Jason, Nick, and I were a little bit better than everyone else, but that is only because we have been skating since we were youngins’. There were a couple of newbies that had only skated on roller blades before. All-in-all, everyone did pretty well. There were only a few falls… 🙂
After skating was spent at Scott and Jason’s house. Nick and I went and bought a bunch of spaghetti style stuff and garlic bread, etc. We then proceeded to have a huge Italian feast. It was great.
After hours was spent riding down the stairs on various household items; a pillow, a blanket, a piece of cardboard, and of course, the good old body. Jen was able to get some pictures and video of the tomfoolery. When she gets them to me, I will put them up for the world to see!
