We made it up here safe last night.
It started raining near Staples on Hiway 10 and then by Wadena it was snowing. It snowed the rest of the 34 miles to Park Rapids and the next 8 to Osage. It made us thankful for having the truck. Thanks Cathy and Mike!
Happy Birthday Chris. Sorry we can’t make it to the party.

Tonight we leave for my parent’s house. We will be there until Sunday because Becca has to work on Monday.
As an aside, you may have noticed that there are ads again. I got accepted into a new program that combines a bunch of publishing groups into one. With that, I have also re-designed Squak! to incorporate the new ads.

Well, my glorious “undefeatedness” this season came to an end last night. Chester and Bernard didn’t get me jack for points and I needed 33. I was up against the Death Skulls (who average over 150 points a game now) with my used-to-be stellar team that has only been averaging 115 points per game.
Needless to say, my team sucked it up and only got a total of 83 points to the Skull’s 108.
It’s so anti-climatic. Nearly every other match up was a close, yet somehow my team pulled through until this game that was such a blowout. Actually, I say nearly because the only other time I played the Death Skulls, I had the blow out; 104-63.
Somehow in the regular season, I was able to keep it up to 13-0, which by the way, I believe has never happened in Yahoo Fantasy Football History. Oh well, it is almost like the 98 Vikings, except that last game was actually a nail biter…

It is interesting that the town from which I graduated high-school is now inherently known in the Minnesota news media. It used to be talked about as “Park Rapids, a city approximately 60 miles south of Bemidji, or a city approximately 90 miles east of Fargo.”…
Now it is just Park Rapids.
