I got a pretty decent picture this morning… A little bit blurry though

Okay, so last night I was sitting on the couch playing D&D Tactics on my PSP. It was kinda noisy because of the rain and the TV, so I decided that I should get my headphones. The thing was, they were in the trunk of my car. So, I go downstairs and into the garage. It is kinda dark in there, but I don’t turn on the lights.

I remember that the headphones are in the trunk so I go around the passenger side of the car. I get to the back and open the trunk and then grab them.

FLASHBACK BEGINS

Becca and I are moving her car into the garage. It’s a Saturday morning and we are going to rotate her tires and change her oil. She had just purchased some 4-ton jack-stands to go with the 4-ton rolling jack that we got as a wedding gift.

We lift up her passenger side after loosening the lug nuts. Getting the tires off and rotating them was easy, even though we didn’t technically rotate them correctly. She is not going to be having this car for too much longer. The first two tires go well. The jack-stands are cool, but the jack is absolutely awesome! It’s so easy to lift the car up and it has this huge long handle that makes it so you hardly have to bend down. The jack itself is about 2 feet long and weighs a good 100 pounds or so.

We move the car out and back it into the garage and start on the other side. After getting those tires rotated, we proceed to do the oil. With the front of the car hanging out of the garage a little bit, it is pretty easy. Even without a filter wrench. I just reach up inside from under the car and give it a good twist. Becca said the engine was being torqued pretty well.

We succeed! (lots of cheering ensues) The car is lowered down, started and running with no leaking oil. The tires look pretty good, except that they are a little bit flatter because they have the extra weight of the engine now.

I am walking back towards the door. My right foot crashes into something huge that does not move. I hear a snap. I am thinking “what in the world did I just stub my toe on?” Holy cow, it’s that huge 4-ton 100+ pound car jack. My foot just smashed into it and my brain just now registers the sickening crunch sound. My foot is throbbing and my toe is black and blue. Becca says it doesn’t look broken because I can still move it.

It’s hard to wear shoes.

I am such a gimp.

Last week, I created a new site called The Christian Couples Network. It was started because Becca and I felt that many churches do not provide enough activities for couples, especially those that are newly married or without children.

Christian Couples is open to any couple that is in a Christ Centered Marriage or a Godly dating or courting relationship.

While I don’t consider myself to be a Star Wars fanboi in the way that those weirdos are, I will have to admit that I did have the Imperial March play during our grand march at our wedding reception.

With that in mind, I want to bring attention to the fact that the Science Museum of Minnesota will be hosting the Star Wars exhibit June 13 to August 24, 2008.

“Developed by the Museum of Science in Boston in conjunction with Lucasfilm, LTD., the 12,000-square-foot exhibit features more than 80 costumes, models, and props from all six Star Wars films, including Princess Leia’s famous white dress, Luke Skywalker’s landspeeder from episode IV, a full-size R2-D2, Han Solo’s rogue outfit, and a Yoda puppet.

Exhibit visitors will be able to climb aboard a full-size replica of the cockpit from Episode IV’s Millennium Flacon and “journey” to a land far away. Guests also can sit inside a real-world hovercraft similar to Saga’s landspeeders and step into a lab where they can build and program robots and engineer droids.”
