Wild are 3 and 0!

I am almost feeling like I want to follow sports again this year. I never was a huge fan of pro-sports, but I did like to watch hockey whenever I had the chance. That ended while I was in college. It was slow. I just realized one day that I hadn’t watched any games for a while and I really wasn’t missing it.

I still play sports whenever I can, especially hockey and volleyball. Last year I got into fantasy football and did okay. 3rd place out of 10 I think… So this year I am in 2 different fantasy football leagues. The one from last year and one with a few friends through Eaglebrook Church. I am tied for first place in both leagues currently!

I have been playing NHL 2007 on my Xbox too. While the last two paragraphs are background and filler, the point of this post is to say:

I am jealous of my girlfriend because she gets to go see the Minnesota Wild play the Washington Capitals tonight without me!

Server Hurts… Brain Hurts.

I fixed my server this morning. It stopped sending and delivering email sometime around Tuesday. It was wierd because when I would tell QMail to process the queue, it would act as if it was doing so, and it would do nothing… I found out that the network segment that it was on was replaced right around the time it started to hiccup. The server was not powered down at all, so perhaps something in the TCP/IP stack got messed up. Anyway, it is working now…

My Current State of Self Address

Work:
My day job is going great! I just found out that we are hiring three more positions within Application Development and Support and that I will be the team lead for two of them! My interim boss has been giving me more and more management type responsibilities in the last few months. We still have not heard word about the big managment position that I would like to have.

Friends:
I still feel blessed that I have so many friends. They are literally everywhere around me and I rarely feel lonely unless I don’t make an effort to go out and be among them. There have been a few incidents here in the last couple of months that have reminded me that friendships do take work though…

Family:
Excellent. My parents are great. My sister and brother-in-law are doing well. My nephew Solomon is getting bigger and his personality has really been starting to show. My other nephew Abraham is a couple months old now, so he pretty much does nothing but cry, eat, and sleep… Other than that, he seems like he is doing just fine.

Love:
My relationship with Becca is going very well! We are growing closer each day and after three months, our feelings haven’t changed, except for the better. I get along with her core family well and so far most of her HUGE extended family likes me. Actually, everyone but her two cousins that are closest in age to her like me. They think that she is too young to be in a serious relationship…

Home:
My house is still wonderful. I love the yard and the deck. It is so nice to come home to a nice house. Becca likes it pretty well and my roommates are awesome!

Money:
I am still owed quite a bit of money from various people, so things are still in a bit of a crunch. That and the fact that I need to save up money for one of those “rings” that girls are so find of… :)

Health:
I had a cluster migraine yesterday. I think I figured out that my trigger is ice cream. I had a bowl the night before and I remember that I have had ice cream each time before the last few migraines. I wonder if it is the type of ice cream. Maybe the cheap stuff is what causes it. I hope so, because that will still allow me to have ice cream at times…

Spiritual Health:
I am volunteering at church with junior high (Radius) and with the hockey ministry. I have stopped working at Club 3 Degrees for now. I feel like it is a new season and I need to focus my kingdom work at my own church now. Since I have been seeing Becca, I feel like my relationship with God has gotten better.

I have heard many times from people that have said that when God’s hand is in a relationship, you know it. It is hard to explain, but I finally understand what they mean!
