The Life and Times of The Partially-genius...

Mike is doing much better. He has been fitted for a plastic vest that keeps his back straight. He can stand up for short periods of time and his pain seems to be lessening to some extent. He may have to have surgery on his shoulder, but I am not sure if that has been finalized.

Cathy (Becca’s mom) has been able to pool her sick leave and take time off to help him. He has the “Outdoor Channel” so he can watch his hunting and shooting…

He got transfered to the carehome that Becca works at last week. She was scheduled to work yesterday and hadn’t worked his wing for quite some time. When she got there, she saw that she was working his wing and she was assigned to his room as part of her shift! That was pretty cool…

Becca’s dad fell 15 feet to the ground when the ladder he was on was knocked out from beneath him as the branch that he was cutting down bounced back. He broke 11 out of 12 ribs on his right side and 14 bones in his back. He also fractured his right scapula (shoulder blade). The doctor mentioned that he was very lucky that he isn’t paralyzed.

Evidently the power went out at the building that my server is sitting in and they weren’t able to get it turned on until a few minutes ago… Sorry for any inconvenience for those that have a website on my server.

Oh yeah, I am back from our trip out west now. I will be putting pictures up this weekend and I will probably write about the trip then too.

After 26 hours on the road with about 2 hours not driving, we are here in Idaho. Time to sleep…

Becca and I are leaving for Moscow Idaho this afternoon. We will be gone until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
