Following on the success of 1977 Star Wars, a Public Service Announcement takes place in the cantina on Tattooine…

We made it to the finals last night. Then we lost 27 to 26. So, all-in-all, it was a decent season. Especially considering that Nate and I were the only ones that had played volleyball together in the past… And that had only been a few nights last summer.
We did rather well getting second place. I am not sure how many teams there were, but I would guess around 15 to 20.
It sounds as though we will be doing the summer league, which starts the week after next.

Wow, no wonder over 80% of Tech Rescue’s clients were ex-Geek Squad clients. They don’t even fix anything anymore. They just send it off to other companies to do the actual work…

I was reading my friend Lem’s blog this morning and came upon this:
“I’m willing to bet that our modern society has already passed the turning point where if you see a person talking aloud to themselves in a public area, you will assume they’re talking on a phone before you assume that they’re talking to themselves. This may be swayed by the observation of the person or the place (rich person in a plaza vs. poor person on a bus), but I’ll bet that most urban and suburban citizens will assume a cellphone, even if they cannot confirm the presence of a phone, before they assume a mental condition.”
Boy I sure hope this is true when it comes to me talking to all the voices in my head!

George Bush singing along to one of the great bands of all time… Surprisingly good!
