Why is it that nobody seems to be writing anything in their blogs lately? There are a few, but the main ones that I used to look at are pretty barren…

I had seen some cup stacking videos before, but this one is crazy.

Luke 14:11

For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

How can we become humble? Humility does not mean to put ourselves down. Truly humble people compare themselves only to Christ, realizing the inherant sinfulness and they know their own limitations. However, they also recognize their gifts and strengths and are willing to do the what God asks of them.
“Humulity is not self-degredation; it is realistic assessment and commitment to serve.”

Thanks to Shanae for this suggestion!

I came upon this passage this morning and I thought it especially hopeful after some of what I learned this weekend.
Ezekiel 36:24-28

For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

When we accept Christ and fully submit to God, he promises to restore us completely. He gives us a new heart and puts his spirit within us. No matter how impure our lives were previous to Christ, God offers us a fresh start!
