The great big goose egg!

I just got home from playing hockey with the Eaglebrook Men’s Hockey group. I got a shutout! It has been many years since I was able to pull this off. I feel strangely energized right now!

Before hockey, I helped out at Club 3 Degrees for the Kutless concert. I was only able to be there for 2.5 hours though. I started on “sidewalk security” helping to keep the line flowing and directing traffic. It was a sold-out show, so I was out there until after the first group started.

Krystal Myers was on stage first. I don’t yet know if I liked her or not. She was very “breathy” and sounded like a stereotypical “valley girl”. I did recently find out that she is only 17, so that might have something to do with it. The music on her website sounds pretty decent though. It’s wierd, but I feel like she is the Christian Music Industry’s answer to Avril Lavigne.

Disciple came on next. I consider them one of the current best groups. I was able to stay for the whole set, so that was cool.

I guess KJ-52 was on after Disciple. He is pretty good. He actually sounds a lot like Eminem. It’s kinda wierd, because while listening to him, I sometimes expect to hear some explicit language dropped because they sound so similar.

Then of course, Kutless was on. I wish I could have seen them because they are also in my top 10.

Anyway, I need to get to bed so I can get up for church in the morning…

Life after 2!

Holy cow, check it out! The Minneapolis Star Tribune has a story about “Life after 2″ at Club 3 Degrees!

PC… Not a computer.

So I was just reading this. I don’t quite know what to think.

Texas Hold ‘em

Last night I played Texas Hold ‘em for the first time in person. After small group, Jason, Shauna, Scott, Nathan, Justin, Roxie, and myself went to Scott and Jason’s place. Jason and Roxie are the pros, Scott and myself have played a few times before, mine in the electronic form and Scott’s in real life. Nathan and Shauna hadn’t really played much and who knows about Justin…

We must have been having a good time because we didn’t get done until after mid-night. Actually, I can’t even remember who ended up winning…

Anyway, tonight is volleyball at Bethel.

Shaving…

For those of you who have seen me recently, you know that I have been doing an experiment with regards to having a beard or not. After a little more than 2 weeks, I decided that I did’t like it much, so I cut it off. I took some pictures though.
